About Masha
Masha was sculpted after a real adorable girl. Miroslava held a contest in 2019 where people on in the Meadowdolls Facebook-group could share images of their children/nieces/grandchildren friends/themselves as kids. Miroslava would then pick one image and make a doll referencing the child/photo. In the end it was too difficult for Miroslava to choose, and Miroslava picked many photos! Masha is the first doll Miroslava created from this contest. You can see the real beautiful girl on the Meadowdoll’s Facebook Group.

MIROSLAVA’S SCULPTING PROCESS:
To the right you can see Masha in the process of her being made. We put this up to show those who are curious! Sometimes it can be fun to see the process.
This is how Masha looked when Miroslava had just finished sculpting her main features. She was sculpted in paper clay which you see in one of the images.
On top of her clay sculptures Miroslava always sprays on layers of gray acrylic paint. This gray paint helps highlight any bumps/scratches that need to be sanded out and fixed. It also protects the dolls and seals them so they can later safely be made into molds.
Finally the grey, smooth and complete sculpt is used to make a mold. This mold will be used to make the first samples.
