About TIA
Tia’s a shy but curious girl. Despite her shy looks she loves to play outside and go on adventures. Miroslava made her because she loves how children will sometimes suck on their entire lower lip when they go about their day. It is so particular to children, and is so cute! Miroslava used many references and photos when she sculpted to get the look just right. Hope you love her like we do!

Miroslava’s sculpting process:
To the right you can see Tia in the process of her being made. We put this up to show those who are curious! Sometimes it can be fun to see the process.
This is how Tia looked when Miroslava had just finished sculpting her main features. She was sculpted in paper clay which you see in one of the images.
On top of her clay sculptures Miroslava always sprays on layers of gray acrylic paint. This gray paint helps highlights any bumps/scratches that need to be sanded out and fixed. It also protects the dolls and seals it so that it can safely be made into a mold.
Finally the grey, smooth and complete sculpt is used to make a mold. This mold will be used to make the first samples.
